「試験の準備をする」をそのまま"prepare"を使ってしまうと「勉強する」じゃなくて「試験会場の準備とかテスト問題の作成」みたいな意味になってしまうのだろか。

いくつか検索結果を見てみたが、「試験のために勉強する」という意味で"prepare"を使っても問題ないことがわかった。
「TOEICが問題を改訂した」と「たくさんの人がそれに対して勉強した」という因果関係がbecauseを使いほど強くないか。
過去完了形を使ったのは、テストまでずっと勉強したという幅が出せると思ったから。
過去形だとある時点でのアクションになってしまう。

訂正理由は、"keep still"は「（物理的に）動かない」ことにしか使えないとのこと。
誤解が生まれないように「『すべてのパートの』問題数は変わった」と書いたが、訂正後は「問題数が変わった」になってしまっている。
問題数は２００問で変わらずなのに。

ここは前の流れを受けて倒置を使えばよかった。
ただ"New also were"という語順はなかなか素直に受け入れられない。
