に提出した英作文が添削されて返ってきた。
"for the first time"、"in the middle of"、"a few"などの基本的なことを間違えすぎだ。

"as if"の後は仮定法で過去形を使うと習ったので過去形にしたけれども、「主節が"was"の過去形なのでもう一つ過去にずらすべきだったのでは？」と不安になった。

時制を一つずらすと”まるで太陽が私を焼いていたかのようだった”になってしまう。なのでずらす必要はないようだ。
それから例文を見ていると自分の作文がまずい事がわかる。
そんな構文はない。
講師のように２つに分けるしかないか。

なんとか１文で表現はできないのだろうか。so that構文は使えないのだろうか。

でも講師がわざわざ二文にしたんだから、こういう構文はないんだろう。

"is"も"was"にするべきだったかな？と思った。
それともそれは今思ったことなので"is"でいいのか。その時思ったか、今思ったかの違いで"is"か"was"が決まるので、どちらもあり得るかな。

物事の始まりは一点だから"at"、物事の真ん中あたりはちょっと幅があるから"in"と強引に覚えるしかないか。
